central california and southern california had rain. this one will give us a lot of cloud cover and some rain. 30s and 40s and 50s. the loan outpost for napa is 30. livermore is in the low 40s. so there are a couple of spots where there are a few breaks in the clouds. southwest 16. south at concord. not that strong anywhere else. but it might be breezy at time. we are looking for a mostly cloudy day. 1 up in tay -- 18 up in tahoe. you can see that shower activity picking up. that is a cold core. there could be snow or dusting on the higher peaks. it is right off the coast. that is where most of the energy is going to be. so cloudy not a lot of precip here. sometimes the heavier amounts seem to be the pattern. and then it even picks up in intensity as it moves into southern california but our system is here. cloudy skies today and temperatures they will be stuck. upper 50s and low 60s today. not much out of this system. by wednesday we are almost out of the cloud cover and thursday and friday and saturday probably into the weekend sunny

before the latest problem in northern california. fuel prices have been headed in the wrong direction. at the beginning of this month, the refinery in martinez was shut down because of a labor dispute. that contributed in part to a steady increase in fuel prices, and this is what the scene looks like this morning. we are watching right now as the attendant at this station in walnut creek begins to change the prices. i believe the change is going to be about a 4-cent increase. it looked like based on the other side just changing it as we speak. in any case, analysts say things are only going to get worse for bay area drivers and that because of that huge explosion and fire yesterday at the exxon mobile refinery in tore renales. part of that facility had to be shut down indefinitely. combined, the torrence refinery and martinez refinery produced about 16% of california's fuel. some analysts are forecasting that there could be as much as a 10-cent spike in gas prices across our state because of those two shutdowns. drivers we talked to
